The field hockey season has kicked off with no breaks for the L.V. Rogers junior team.
The team played eight games in two days at a tournament last weekend in Oliver, winning three, losing four and tying one.
LVR had multi-goal performances by Zoe Baxter, Elissa Centrone, Marissa Price and Jessica Mcleod, great defence by Isabel Curston, Emma Chirico, Ashleigh Mc-lean, Rayne Fulgin, and Nicola Anderson, impressive midfield work from Ella Peloso, Sienna Morningstar, Ariel Fulgin and Skyla Short and stellar goaltending from Johanna Brochhagen.
The event, which was for players from Grades 8 to 10, featured six-a-side games with 20-minute halves.
The junior team also downed Trail’s J.L Crowe 2-0 on Tuesday.
LVR’s senior team has had a pair of games this week. Shianne Michalchuck scored six as the Bombers shut out Castlegar’s Stanley Humphries 8-0 on Monday before losing a 6-2 result to J.L. Crowe on Tuesday.
