In a game that featured six lead changes, the Maple Ridge Burrards fell 9-7 to the Salmonbellies in New Westminster on Saturday, but still lead the first-round playoff series by a game.
Game 3 was tied 2-2 after the first and 4-4 after the second. New West outscored Maple Ridge 3-1 in the third, and outshot the Burrards 45-35 in the game.
Frank Scigliano made 36 saves in the loss, while Matt Symes recorded a hat-trick. Mike Mallory scored twice. Connor Goodwin and Lyndon Knuttila also scored.
