Pitt Meadows Marauders running back Brandon Hunt had a good season all in one day, as he rushed for 175 yards and five touchdowns on the weekend.
The Pitt Meadows Marauders beat Timberline of Coquitlam 41-6 on Saturday, to finish regular season play with a perfect 4-0 record.
They are also 6-1 overall, and after a great season have a bye week before hosting a playoff game on Nov. 18.
Grade 10 running back Kristian Abilo scored the other touchdown, as the Marauders scored on every possession of the game, rushing for more than 300 yards.
Coach Matt Todd said the great running game was more than just the work of the talented backs.
“Our offensive line did a great job all game,” he said. “I was very impressed with our own line run blocking this week. Last week we weren’t that good on the line. The boys worked hard all week fixing their mistakes.”
On defence Pitt Meadows was led by a strong game from the front four of Cody Diver, Tato Ferreyro, Giovanni Manu and Angus MacDonald.
“They stuffed the run all day, forcing Timberline to pass,” said Todd, adding that his backfield of Brayden Anderson, Matt Mullen and Carlos Redekopp denied the passing attack of the T-Wolves.
“I am very happy with our season so far,” said Todd. “We have improved each week and we will take this bye week to get healthy and get ready for a playoff run.
