The theme this past week at Fraser Downs was about two horsemen having close to career days!

On Thursday night (Sept. 25) trainer Sam Robinson sent out two winners and a third from three starters. The great night from the small stable came when two year old, Mystic Ruler, upset the other colts in the second leg of the Robert Millbank stake series. Owner Evert Vanderborn continues his hot hand getting winners from different trainers, including Sam.

Stay tuned. Jim is hot enough to make it seven in the future.

Other significant winners at Fraser Downs: Pureform Goodtogo (trainer/driver Bill Davis) won her 11th race this year from only 21 starts; Millbanks Writer (trainer/driver Rod Therres) won her second stake race in a row; 82-year-old trainer Marcel Bouvier returns to Cloverdale with a winner (Secret Identity) after being away for over 20 years, and 12-year-old veteran pacer, Prime Time Bliss, won for the 56th time in his career.

Racing resumes Thursday (Oct. 2) at 6 p.m. and Friday (Oct. 3) at 7 p.m.
