Despite being in the middle of the toughest training week of the season, the Mission Marlins had an excellent showing this past weekend in Abbotsford.
The Marlins competed at the Abbotsford Whalers’ annual swim meet at Centennial Pool.
The local swim club had members participating from the six- and-under category all the way up to Division seven. Several swimmers achieved personal bests and first-place finishes.
“On behalf of the coaching staff, we are all looking forward to the regional championship competition in Abbotsford Aug. 7-9, where many athletes will qualify for the BCSSA provincial championship meet in Victoria later in August,” said Christina Diewold, head coach of the Mission Marlins.
