The Maroons bounced the George Elliot Coyotes of Lake Country 2-1 (30-28, 14-25, 15-8) in the seventh-place game Friday afternoon at UBC Okanagan gym.

The Maroons were swept 2-0 25-20, 28-26) by the Highland Raiders of Comox in earlier playoff action Friday. The fell 3-2 (23-25, 23-25, 25-12, 25-13, 15-13) to the Langley Christian Lightning Thursday.

The College Heights Cougars of Prince George and MEI Eagles of Clearbrook met in the gold-medal game Saturday.

In the Senior A boys loop, the Vernon Christian Royals ended up in ninth place after they bounced the Immaculata Mustangs of Kelowna 2-0 (25-23, 25-20) Friday morning.

The Royals opened Thursday play with a 3-0 loss to Richmond Christian School before rebounding with a 2-0 win (25-23, 39-37) win over Ebeneezer Canadian Reformed School of Smithers later that day.

In girls volleyball action, the Maroons were relegated to consolation play after a 2-1 loss to MEI (25-23, 23-25, 8-15). They had a chance to finish as high as 12th heading into Saturday action against the Mark Isfeld Ice of Comox.

Fulton rebounded with a straight sets win (25-16, 25-23) over the Vernon Panthers later Friday.

In Senior AA girls action in Vancouver, the Kalamalka Lakers bounced the Notre Dame Jugglers of Vancouver 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-20) Friday afternoon, and then rallied to upend the Elphinestone Cougars of Gibsons 3-2 (24-26, 17-25, 25-13, 25-16, 15-12) that night.

Kal battled the Lambrick Park Lions of Victoria Saturday morning for a chance to compete in the championship game.
