McEachran-Law collects third in Langley

Vernon’s Chris McEachran-Law shot 76 to finish third in the boys 17-19 division at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s final tournament Saturday in Langley.

McEachran-Law finished one stroke back of Oliver’s Victor Baptiste and Delta’s Austin Hughes, both 17. Baptiste won on retrogression in the Prodigy One-Day Series at the Pagoda Ridge Golf Club.

Ian Kim of Surrey topped the boys 14-16 category with a 73, defeating Lawren Rowe of Victoria on a countback. Vernon 15-year-old Nick Friesen carded an 88 for a share of 33rd spot in the field of 47.

There was a field of 16 in the older boys’ group in the Boston-Pizza presented Tour event.

McEachran-Law, 18, won the Sundog Eyewear Skills Contest. Baptiste ruled the Mr. Lube Long Drive.
