Men get into swing at Storey Creek

Dean Thulin shoots 3-under-par 33 in Men's Night golf club season opener

Dean Thulin started the year off right in Men’s Night play at Storey Creek Golf and Country Club by shooting a 3 under 33 in the season opener last Wednesday.

Pete McLoughlin won low gross on the high side with a 41 and Tim Baird won low net on the high side with a net 33. Ken Piercy won low net on the low side. River Radio won the team game with Jim Dickson, Tim Baird, Brad Cain and Barry Hicks. The No. 1 Auto Body foursome took second place and Coast Discovery Inn took third.

Lawrence Renaud won closest-to-the pin on hole 7, but he didn’t make the putt. Jeff Goodwin won the Chan Nowasad Boates KP on 5.  Brad Rombough won the Chinook Scaffold long drive  and Peter McLoughlin  won the Coastal Eyecare long drive with no one winning the soon-to-be-announced Island Home Furniture long drive on 9.

Ross Campbell won the Coastal Mountain Fuels explosion in a count-back. Early bird Mills won the pot-of-gold on 7, and Bob Price lucked out with the nightly draw.

Coming up on the schedule is Dave Chilton’s Shoot Out, set for May 2-3. This is a two-man team competition, $35 entry with another $20 skins game ($10 per day).  Tee times on Saturday with Shotgun Sunday. For info, contact Dave at 250-287-8292 or email him dchilton@shaw.ca.
