Men’s rugby team takes on Brazil in Langford this weekend

Match takes place on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

West Shore residents will get to see some of the best Canadian rugby players in action in Langford this weekend.

Canada’s men’s team, which practices out of Langford, will take on Brazil as part of the 2018 Americas Rugby Championships at Westhills Stadium on Saturday.

As part of the competition, Canada, the U.S., Uruguay, Chile, Brazil and Argentina ‘A’ will face off in a round-robin style format across multiple locations in North and South America.

The competition got underway at B.C. Place in Vancouver on Jan. 27.

So far, the men’s team have had a tough start to the tournament, dropping round one to Uruguay 38-29.

Canada also lost to the U.S. 29-10 in the second round last weekend.

Kick off is at 6:30 p.m.
