In competition south of the border, she was 13th at the American Junior Golf Association girls championship, after placing second at an AJGA junior event in St. Louis.
In the CN Future Links development series, she captured the Ontario tournament and finished third, one shot back of the leader, in the Pacific Championship held last May at Bear Mountain’s valley course.
A regular in adult events as well, she placed fourth at the 2014 B.C. Women’s Amateur, tied for 10th at the Canadian Women’s Pro Tour’s B.C. event in Parksville and was a top-40 finisher at the Canadian Women’s Amateur.
Saanichton’s Sam Reinhart, plays for the Western Hockey League’s Kootenay Ice, was presented with the male junior athlete of the year award. He was one of only two 18-year-olds selected for Canada’s World Junior Championship (U-20) team.
