The Terrace midget reps placed fourth in a tournament in Prince George Nov. 18 – 20.
Opening game for the team was against Williams Lake and manager for the team, Darren Munson, said a good effort from the whole team and exceptional goaltending by Dawson Kluss led the midgets to their 3-1 victory.
Game two saw Terrace facing off against Prince Rupert, with Terrace getting off to a sluggish start in the first. Second period action saw Terrace in a bit of a panic as Prince Rupert came on strong to extend its lead to 4-2.
However, Terrace came back with a great third period to tie the match, and stay in the game with a 4-4 finish.
Game three went far better for the team as it managed a 5-1 win over Ft. St. John, with Cole Broughton in net.
Next Terrace was up against Smithers, coming out flat with a 1-0 loss to the neighbouring team.
The final game was another loss, this time to Prince Rupert, 6-3.
Team manager Darren Munson said the weekend was a struggle for the team as it lost against teams it had previously bested.
Munson added that the goaltending was awesome and that the team was missing a few players due to injuries.
Next for the midget reps will be two home games against Kitimat, Dec. 3 –
