Midget T-wolves clinch league title

The Williams Lake Midget Timberwolves clinched the league championship in the Cariboo Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) on the weekend.

The Williams Lake Midget Timberwolves clinched the league championship in the Cariboo Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) on the weekend with two wins over Prince George.

Friday, the T-wolves’ offence came off the sticks of Jimi Belleau, with two tallies, and Jordan Bunce. Assists went to Dawson Billyboy, Ryley Haines, Raeyden Beauchamp and Belleau.

The Timberwolves followed Friday’s win up with a 5-2 triumph over Prince George.

Cody Swan scored twice, and Belleau, Grady Thomas and Lane Paddison added singles.

Cody, Justin Swan, Paddison and Thomas recorded assists in the winning effort.

The T-wolves will be at home at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex this Saturday, Feb. 4 for its final two games of the regular season against Prince George. Game times are noon and 6:30 p.m.
