Nanaimo Redmen 0

Highlights: Seye Akinsami on an interception return, Devoun Hallums and Bosh Sise-Odaa scored the Bears touchdowns. Colton Cave, Triston Malana and Hallums also picked off passes, while Jonaus Levac kicked for four points.

 

Bantam Division

 

North Surrey Tigers 63

Cloverdale Leopards 0

Highlights: Jordan Gamez led the Tigers with three touchdowns, one of five players to reach the end zone. Sam Malana and Shawn Domingo had two each, with Jidstar Castaneto and Ernest Santos scoring once.

Gamez also kicked six converts, while quarterback Colby Peters had three touchdown passes.

Leading the Tigers defense were Brayden Norton, Nikola Johnson and Gabe Mendoza.

Standouts for Cloverdale included Kobi Johal and Nizaam Khawjazada on the offensive line, Ty Karoway at receiver and on defense, and Harpaul Gill with a reception.

 

North Surrey Panthers 50

Highlights: Five players had major scores for the Panthers. David Lagou had a pair, with Jerold Leonardo, Joss Yanciw, Emeka Oluma and Mark Leonardo adding one each. Willie Brenner kicked for four points, and Okuma and Jerold Leonardo each caught passes  for two-point converts.

Highlights: The Eagles got three touchdowns each from Sebastien Reid and John Marques, while Elijan Khan kicked for four points.

Cloverdale Bobcats 42

Burnaby Lions 0

Highlights: Braeden Hutchinson had a pair of touchdowns on offense, and a safety on defense. Kojo Odoom, Austin Benoit and Jaden Simon each had a major score, with Trey Jones throwing for two touchdowns and kicking five two-point converts.

Odoom excelled both ways, rushing the ball on offense and making tackles on defense. Other defensive standouts were Davis Lutterodt, Blake Vatkin and Sam Plourde.

 

Cloverdale Lynx 38

North Surrey Cardinals 26

Highlights: Taran Birdi with three, Walker Erickson with a pair of Noah Anderson had touchdowns for the Lynx. Himmat Aujla kicked a two-point convert.

Jaeden Reid intercepted two passes, each setting up a touchdown. Kyle Dodd led the defense with three quarterback sacks.

 

North Delta Longhorns 28

Richmond Raiders 7

Highlights: Diallo Ighorewo was the top scorer for the Longhorns with two touchdowns and a pair of two-point converts. Brody Clark and Keijaun Johnson also scored touchdowns, with strong play from Jaxon Carter, Jacob Carter and Prabjot Ahluwalia leading the defense.

Burnaby Lions 6

Highlights: Brandon Fuchs and Brady Barrick led the Lions scoring, each scoring one touchdown and kicking three two-point converts. Jamie Fuchs was effective on both sides of the ball, with one touchdown on offense and five quarterback sacks on defense. A touchdown each from Owen Osbourne and Krishin Sangha complete the scoring. Dante Vatkin stood out on defense with an interception return of 30 yards.

 

North Surrey Lions 24

Royal City Hyacks 14

Highlights: Two touchdowns each from Jamil Yousuf and Javon Minott accounted for the North Surrey scoring.

Yousef Sheta with a fumble recovery, Markus Poelzer with five tackles, and the play of Michael Jenkins, Dominik Cole and Aiden Yanciw were the defensive highlights.

 

Cloverdale Lions 6

Langley Broncos 20

Highlights: Sam Adrain scored the Cloverdale touchdown. Cooper Irwin and Jakob Kaleel had strong performances on defense.

 

North Delta Longhorns 8

Richmond Raiders 36

Highlights: North Delta scored first, but lost their first game of the season.

Carter Spencer ran 60 yards for a touchdown, then kicked a two-point convert.
