Mosquito AAA baseball team hosting provincials at Sid Clark Gyro Park

The mosquito Pirates will try to swat the competition at provincial championships.

The Nanaimo Pirates AAA mosquito baseball hosts the B.C. championship tournament at Sid Clark Gyro Park this weekend. The tournament started Thursday with opening ceremonies and a skills competition and game action got underway today, Aug. 2.

Nanaimo takes on Central Okanagan on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 8:30 a.m. and then faces Ridge Meadows at 4 p.m.

The B.C. finals will be Sunday.
