Hockey’s winningest team chalked up another ‘W’ in Nanaimo today.

The Montreal Canadiens alumni team was in town Sunday, Feb. 18, for a charity hockey game in support of the Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank.

The Habs alumni won 8-4 against the Loaves and Fishes squad. The Canadiens were led by Stephane Richer, Patrice Brisebois, John Scott and others. Despite the Canadiens’ superior skill, they still resorted to some shenanigans to help their cause, delivering a pie in the face to one Nanaimo player and dousing the Loaves and Fishes bench with a bucket of water in the third period.

Nanaimo was the final stop on a tour for the Canadiens alumni.
