Aubrey “Bam Bam” Morrow's quest to capture the Canadian Middleweight Championship ended in shocking fashion.

His quest to capture the Canadian Middleweight Championship ended in shocking fashion as Aubrey “Bam Bam” Morrow fell to champion Francis LaFreniere in Quebec.

Morrow was stopped in the eighth round via TKO (referee’s stoppage) when he failed to defend himself sufficiently. It was at that point something seemed wrong with the local boxer after losing the bout.

The result was disappointing to say the least but it was the events that followed that quickly put the result of the bout in the rear view

mirror.

Following a blow to the back of the head,  Morrow was taken from the ring by ambulance to a local hospital where he was kept for evaluation.

After a few weeks in hospital in Quebec, doctors finally cleared Morrow to fly home.

Morrow is back on the Island and is expected to make a full recovery from injuries sustained in the fight.
