Pre-winter weather has so far been co-operative in the South Cariboo, and Mt. Timothy Ski area will open Dec. 10 as planned.

As of Dec. 1, snow depth measured 55 centimetres at mid-mountain with soft-packed groomed conditions.

“The snow is always good here – never icy,” says hill manager Adam Piccolo.

He adds a total of 14 runs will be open, but all black diamond runs and the Platter Lift will be closed.

“We’re really excited about opening day.”

The hill will be open Dec. 10-11 on opening weekend, and then shut down during the week. It opens again on Dec. 16 and will remain open until Jan 2, with the exception of a closure on Christmas Day.

Again, this year, Mt. Timothy offers their four-for-three pass special, which gets the purchaser four day passes for the price of three. They can be purchased until Dec. 24 only, and are available at 100 Mile Sport Shop, 100 Miler Gear Garage and Williams Lake Honda.

Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
