The Maggie Mustangs field hockey team returned from the Oliver Fall Festival with a pair of ties and losses.
The Mustangs had scoreless draws against Stanley Humphries from Castlegar and Mt. Boucherie, then lost 3-0 to Maple Ridge and 1-0 to Surrey’s Enver Creek. The Oliver Fall Festival gave teams a chance to gain more experience.

Playing four games in just over 24 hours was tiring for the Mustangs, but the players were determined and worked hard. Mustang coaches Scott McCafferty and Sam James were pleased with the effort and sportsmanship displayed. The Mustangs have several new players, including four international students who have never played. Kenzie Kesstler, Melissa Hunt and Ana Perez were solid in goal for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs are next in action in Summerland against the Rockets on Wednesday.
