The Princess Margaret Mustangs defeated the Keremeos Sparks 56-39 in exhibition basketball on Wednesday.  The Mustangs outscored the Sparks 24-5 in the third quarter to blow open a close game.  The Sparks’ Madison Terbasket-Winser led all scorers with 23 points while the Mustangs were led by Shinaaz Johal’s 19.  Johal, Caitlyn Neary and Reiley Terbasket took turns frustrating the Sparks with tenacious defence while the Mustangs relied on a balanced score sheet to put the game away. Simran Sidhu had seven points; Harleen Bansoota had six, while Vanessa Edis, Terbasket, Neary, and Cassie Hannon all chipped in with five.

Next action for the Mustangs will be next week when they host KSS-B on Tuesday in another exhibition game and Summerland on Wednesday in league play.  Both games tip off at 5 at p.m.
