QUALICUM BEACH — It looks like Oceanside is hoops central these days.
From The Nest comes word Kwalikum Secondary School will be hosting the eight-team AA Sr. Boys North Island basketball championships this week.
Kondors’ coach Dave Frampton and his squad open the tourney at 2:15 p.m. Thursday against the Highland Raiders. There are four games on tap for Friday (starting at 2:15 p.m. and the last game at 7:30 p.m.). Action resumes at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the tournament final tipping off at 4 p.m., and the 3rd versus 4th game to follow.
The top four teams advance to the AA Sr. Boys Island finals Feb. 24-26.
