One of Canada’s greatest aerialists has a Ladysmith connection.
Warren Shouldice won the World Championship title and scored a perfect score on his most difficult trick.
Shouldice, from Calgary, worked in Ladysmith for a summer a few years ago.
His grandmother, Doreen Shouldice-Nep, lives in Saltair.
His jump, a lay, triple full, full – a quadruple twisting triple backflip – put him top of the podium.
His score was 139.50, bringing his total score to 253.66.
The championships were held in Deer Valley, Utah, on Feb. 4.
