The Nelson Leafs swept a home-and-away series with the Creston Valley Thunder Cats to end the pre-season.
Simon Nemethy, Kaito Umino and Ethan Machan each scored as the Leafs beat the Thunder Cats 3-1 on the road Friday.
Tenzin Mint got the start in net for Nelson and allowed just one goal to Denon Bamber in the third period.
The next night, the Leafs scored three unanswered goals on home ice en route to a 5-1 win.
Seamus Boyd, Ryan Polvere, Bennet Anklewich, Nemethy and Machan each had a goal, while Corbin Cockerill replied for the Thunder Cats. No goalie stats were made available for the game.
The Leafs open the regular season Friday at home to the Beaver Valley Nitehawks when they plan to allow 545 fans into the building. Proof of double vaccination is required prior to entry.
Nelson also hosts the Fernie Ghostriders on Saturday.
