The L.V. Rogers junior boys basketball team continued their winning ways earlier this week by knocking off the Mt. Sentinel Wildcats 57-28 Wednesday night at the local high school.
The victory was the second in as many nights as the boys defeated Trail’s J.L. Crowe 41-35 Tuesday in Trail in a hard fought league game.
The pair of wins against area rivals comes during a hot month for the hoops squad.
Last weekend the locals captured the J.L. Crowe Invitational by knocking off Castlegar’s Stanley Humphries 45-6, Grand Forks 71-16, host JL Crowe 61-35 and Osoyoos 42-33 in a dramatic and well-played final.
The junior Bombers have a 9-0 record in West Kootenay league action this season and are currently on a seven game winning streak.
The team’s next action will be on January 27-28 when they travel to the junction for the Mt. Sentinel Invitational tournament. The next weekend the squad plays host at the Bomber Invitational at The Hangar.
