This past weekend in Vancouver, Matti Erickson of the Kootenay Chaos track and field club ran the fastest recorded 800m in the province for 12 year olds with a time of 2:13.36. Erickson also won the 80m, 200m, and 300m hurdles.
Emily Simpson placed fourth in the Western Canada Games trials 800m with a personal best performance and Keiran Marchand ran personal bests in the 800 and 1,500m events. Nicola Everton won the masters 800 and 1,500m events.
