The BCHL trade deadline came and went on Saturday with the Langley Rivermen standing pat.
The Rivermen, who now sit in first place in the BCHL’s Mainland Division with 49 points through 42 games, are going with the status quo for the stretch drive.
There are 16 games remaining in the regular season and Langley needs just three points — or two Surrey losses — to clinch a post-season berth.
“We are happy with the group that we have,” said Rivermen head coach and general manager Bobby Henderson on Monday morning.
“We like the kids that we have (and) we have shown at times what we are capable of.”
While the team may have had options to tinker with their roster, Henderson said the coaching staff felt the players have been making positive steps over the course of the season.
