Parksville hosts the BC PBL AAA Bantam Baseball Championships Aug. 4- 7.
Games begin Friday morning at 10 a.m. and continue all weekend at Springwood and Wallace fields. The championship final is Monday at 2 p.m.
The tournament promises to deliver some high-level baseball of the best teams of 13-15-year-old young men in the province. The host North Island Royals played in the 40-game Premier Baseball League all season, and at tournaments in Kamloops and Langley. The boys face the challenge of having players from three communities — Campbell River, Comox Valley and Parksville — resulting in plenty of travel each week since April.
A big thank you to Kathy Pilon for keeping all the volunteers tuned in.
Come on down and cheer on our North Island boys.
