North Okanagan Knights win in OT

North Okanagan Knights outlast Revelstoke Grizzlies 4-3 in OT in KIJHL play Friday at Nor-Val Sports Centre.

Logan Geefs fired the winner in double-overtime as the North Okanagan Knights buried the Revelstoke Grizzlies 4-3 in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League play Friday night at Nor-Val Sports Centre.

Austin Garrington (4th goal) and Austin Fournier (7th) put the 4-20-1-0-2 Knights up 2-0 heading into the third period. Revelstoke (9-10-2-0-3) replied with three goals in seven minutes in the final frame before Trent Redschlag fired his second of the year on a powerplay to force OT.

Mitch Profeit recorded 45 saves for the win. Michael Lenko had 22 stops for Revelstoke.

North Okanagan entertains the league-leading Osoyoos Coyotes (21-4-0-0-1) Friday at 7:30.
