The senior girls basketball team at Charles Hays Secondary School (CHSS) hosted the zone championships this weekend, and came away with the title. The girls played two hard-fought games against Caledonia Secondary School. The first game was won by CHSS 47-33, and after Caledonia beat Smithers Secondary School for the other spot in the final, the girls won a nailbiter 53-50 to claim the banner. Ruby Mason was named MVP of the tournament, while Brittany Waite and Carly Cochrane were named All-Stars.
