In AA/A play, St. Michaels University School heads to Vic High to play at 3:45 p.m.

Oak Bay rugby fans will want to head west this weekend for the 2016 HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens coming to Westhills Stadium Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17. Part of the World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series, featuring 12 of the world’s best national teams competing at six global destinations, choose from individual day passes or a weekend pass to take in the whole competition. Locally, a commanding 49-14 victory this past weekend over the Vancouver Rowing Club will provide a lift for the University of Victoria Vikes men’s rugby team as they prepare to host the UBCOB Ravens this Saturday, April 16, in the CDI Premier League playoffs. Kick-off time is set for 2:45 p.m. at Wallace Field.
Turning to the baseball diamond, the Victoria Eagles Premier team is on the road this weekend, taking on the Langley Blaze in a Saturday doubleheader. Sunday takes the squad to Coquitlam to face Reds.
The Victoria Premier Mariners open league play with a Saturday double-header in White Rock before returning home Sunday, April 17 to host the Parksville Royals at Layritz Park. First pitch is at 12 p.m. with Game 2 scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. start.

Visit the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club at Carnarvon Park Sunday, April 17 for an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Open sessions continue Friday evenings from mid-May through September starting at 6 p.m. Club play opens April 30.
