Oak Bay High track team finishes second in the province

The 2018 B.C. High School Track and Field Championships saw 2,400 student athletes compete over three days in Langley last weekend.

The 2018 B.C. High School Track and Field Championships saw 2,400 student athletes compete over three days in Langley last weekend.

The Oak Bay High track and field finished in second place for the province.

The sr. girls were second overall in their division and the senior team place second in the combined category. There were many outstanding performances highlighted by medal performances by Makayla Dickinson in the junior girls triple jump, Jade Forrest Jr in the girls pole vault, the senior boys 4×400 relay scored bronze , senior girls 4×100 relay earned silver, Isaac Clement in the senior pole vault earned silver, and for the second consecutive year Alisa Lyesina is provincial champion in the women’s 800m race.
