The Castlegar Aquanauts Swim Club had a great weekend of swimming in Kimberley this past weekend.  Everyone swam fast, and their were lots of best times with very few disqualifications.

“The pool there is salt water, which is thought to be considerably faster as we are more buoyant in it.” said head coach Mitchell Bourne. “That may have had an effect, but more importantly, I think that the Aquanauts training during the last few weeks has really paid off. “

The club had 33 swimmers compete in Kimberley, which was one of the lowest turn-outs of the season. Still, all who attended swam well, said Bourne.

Best times were achieved by the following swimmers:

Seraphina Welychko (1), Rachael teBulte (3), Wren Shaman (2), Tenysha Ross-Van Mierlo (4), Jintia Ross-Van Mierlo (4), Cyan Ross-Van Mierlo (1), Logan Ogloff (3), Carson Ogloff (5), Ashlee Martini (6), James Marshall (4), Ethan Marshall (1), Ethan Lawczynski (5), Emma Lawczynski (6), Hayley Kruk (4), Bella Keus (5), Jaleb Keus (1), Genevieve Jin (1), Sophie Jansen (3), Gabrielle Hanvold (4), Kenna Cartwright (4), Claire Cartwright (5), Van Bellamy (3), Reid Bellamy (6), Jeffrey Ashton (5), Emily Ashton (1), Corbin Anderson (5), Bryce Anderson (5).
