• Shayna represented Vancouver Island at the 2008 and 2010 BC Winter Games on the VI Ringette team
• Captain of the Oceanside Icebreakers Midget Female hockey team for two years running
• Plays AAA spring hockey as an Elite player –
• Is a Level 1 Female Official certified by BC Hockey and works with OMHA (when she isn’t playing, she’s reffing)
• Is a Female Hockey Mentor, working with younger girls on and off the ice.
• A volunteer with the Oceanside Generals Junior Hockey Club for three years now — at the rink for every home game to set up the nets for the team and contribute to team events, etc.
• Volunteers with Gold in the Net goalie training here in Oceanside) and works with their summer program as a shooter.
• Collection Coordinator for the Oceanside Icebreakers, and has collected donations for the Samaritan’s purse – Operation Christmas Child Shoe box program each November for the three years now.
• Volunteers with our local Benevolent society every Thursday night to help fund raise for local programs.
• And oh yes, she’s is an honour roll student in 10th grade (French Immersion) at Ballenas Secondary School.
