The local squad went down to a 5-4 defeat against the Thunderbirds in Seattle last night.
A positive note in the defeat came when Tyler Soy tied up the game midway through the third period for Victoria, and Logan Fisher tallied eight seconds later to put the Royals ahead. The two goals set the Royals’ franchise record for fastest goals in succession.
