The Subway Orange Dudes took sole possession of first place with a 5-1 victory over Subway Navy in Under 14/15 boys youth soccer play Wednesday night at Marshall #4.

Orange played a near perfect first half, creating many chances by spreading the field in possession while defensively applying constant pressure on the ball. Minyuk Son sacrificed his fresh haircut to open the score with a rare header.

Shortly after, a smart through pass by Joe Eggert landed in front of Matthew Jackson, who scored with his seldom used right foot. Son added a third goal from long distance, assisted by Carter Bosquet.

Navy got the upper hand for a few minutes, but Orange managed to put the game away when Grady Caton danced around three defenders before setting up Jackson. Caton scored the last goal after miscommunication in Blues’ back line.
