The Aldergrove Kodiaks defeated the Langley Trappers last night in a 7-1 victory in the Pacific Junior Hockey League.
Aldergrove now has a four point lead on the Mission Outlaws for the last playoff spot in the Harold Brittain Conference.
Kodiaks can clinch the final playoff spot tonight in the conference with a win or tie over last place Surrey Knights.
Knights have won once in their last 86 games in the PJHL over two seasons.
If Aldergrove loses to Surrey, Mission will have to win both of its’ games this week against Surrey and Ridge Meadows Flames to advance into the playoffs.
Game times for the Outlaws are February 9 at 7 p.m. against Surrey and February 10 at 6:45 p.m. against Ridge Meadows, both at the Mission Leisure Centre.
