The Pee Wee B Oceanside Sharks capped off an excellent season with a silver medal at the B.C. Provincial Box Lacrosse Championships in Maple Ridge.
It was a good season for the Sharks, who dominated their way through the Island Championships.
The Sharks beat Alberni Valley 10-4, Juan de Fuca 8-2 and 7-1, but would run up against a tough Saanich squad.
During the regular season, the Sharks were the only team to beat Saanich, so it was a tough game to say the least.
In the end, Saanich got the better of the Sharks by a tight final of 9-8, giving the Sharks the second seed coming off the Island.
From there, the Sharks were off to provincials, looking to have another good showing to finish off their season.
The Sharks rolled to victory in their first game against Port Coquitlam by a score of 9-3.
Game two saw the Sharks take a bite out of Ridge Meadows to the tune of 14-1.
Their third game was much of the same, with the Sharks coming out on top 13-6 against Abbotsford.
They would run into their rivals from Saanich one more time, coming out of that tough game with an 8-1 loss but a silver medal to their name.
