New faces will be in town over spring break for the 2013 Pee Wee Tier 2 Championships being hosted by the Salmon Arm Minor Hockey Association from March 16 to 20 at Shaw Centre.
Teams will be travelling to Salmon Arm from throughout the B.C. Interior and Lower Mainland. They will include the Powell River Tim Horton Kings, the Penticton Jr. Vees, the Greater Trail Smoke Eaters, the Prince George Freightliner Cougars, the Fort Saint John Flyers, the Cranbrook Ice, the Vancouver Minor Pee Wee A1, and the Burnaby Winter Club.
Games start Sunday morning and wrap up Wednesday, with the final at 8 p.m.
Opening ceremonies take place Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
A banquet will be held for the teams on Saturday night at the Shaw Centre’s Intermissions Restaurant, where Salmon Arm SilverBacks general manager Troy Mick will be the guest speaker.
