The 100 Mile Peewee Rep Milers travelled to Kamloops to play a league game on Nov. 13.
After facing a loss a couple of weeks ago, Kamloops wanted revenge on the Milers.
Kamloops came on strong and held the 100 Mile team scoreless until late in the first when winger Martin Stillas sniped a goal on a sweet pass by Kyson Hopson.
A minute later, Kamloops tied it at one apiece.
Then Hopson used his speed to split the defence and potted one on glove side.
Keeping the pressure on by all lines of the 100 Mile squad, Jackson Hooper was able to slide the puck through the goalie’s legs with a heads-up pass from Hopson.
Defenceman Aidan Moore took a wicked slap shot and found the back of the net with an assist from Cameron Scott.
Then Stillas kept digging at the puck with a quick pass from Hopson to secure the lead to 5-1 in the third.
Kamloops did not give up and slipped one by the 100 Mile goalie to make the score to 5-2.
The 100 Mile Peewee Rep Milers kept the pressure on the Kamloops squad by taking shots and crashing the net. The Milers were also successful at killing penalties.
The team worked hard on passing and staying on their checks along with excellent goaltending by Joey Isaac to secure another win for the team.
The final score was 5-2.
