Peninsula Minor Hockey Spirit Rally caps off successful season

Awards, donations and fun at year-end event

Peninsula Minor Hockey (PMHA) held their year-end Spirit Rally Tuesday night, March 13 at Panorama Recreation’s Arena B in North Saanich.

Hundreds of girls and boys enjoyed some pizza and cheered their teammates on as awards were handed out in categories like Most Improved, Goalie of the Year, Referee of the Year and many more.

The Bantam C1 team was recognized for its undefeated season, winning both their league and Island titles for the 2017/18 season.

The Atom A team used the Rally to donate $3,000 to KidSport Victoria and the Larry Orr Foundation — ending a very successful season-long fundraiser. Another donation was made to KidSport, via PMHA, by the Prairie Inn and Big Rock Brewing, who worked quietly to raise money for the Association this year.

Spirit awards were given out and Initiation-level (new) players gifted jerseys to the outgoing Midget players who have ended their time with PMHA as players.
