Fifty-six golfers took advantage of ideal conditions for the 108 Men’s Night on Aug. 15.

There were six deuces, with at least one in every flight, and there were 15 rounds carded below 40.

Shane Wilkie was one under par and James Seeley even par. Matt McNeil’s 37, Al Sidor and Vern Jeffrey’s 38s, and 39s for Karam Parsad, Jim Zailo, John McNeil and Chris Stevens didn’t even get a sniff of prizes.

George McGibbon, Bill Harris and Jeff Kendy all shot one over 36s.

Only one second-flight and two of the third-flight golfers were over 40 with their net scores.

All in all, it was a great tune up day for the club championships, which were held on the weekend.

The Million Dollar Hole In One Contest, put on by Psalm 23 Society, also wrapped up on the weekend.

The Cariboo Open will be upon us next in a couple of weeks. The annual Hope Classic and Ryder Cup tourney bode for great wind-ups to the season.
