Thursday, July 28, was officially declared “PGOSA Day in Parksville” by Mayor Marc Lefebvre.
It was an incredible day organized by Marg Porter and the PGOSA Singles Club. We had more than 220 guests and the shelter area at Community Park was packed.
We actually ran out of some food items as the line-up snaked around the park grounds.
Thanks again to the Ramblers who played their hearts out for close to three hours straight. The music was fabulous!
And to Mayor Marc Lefebvre… a big PGOSA thank you from all of us who appreciate the city recognizing the 1,300-plug PGOSAns who contribute on a daily basis to our community.
— The PGOSA Profile is part of a series highlighting members of the Parksville Golden Oldies Sports Association, a local association for athletes aged 55 and over. For details on the numerous sport activities sponsored by PGOSA, visit www.pgosa.org.
