Five local female hockey players will be chasing a provincial Midget AAA championship this weekend in Langley.

The five are members of the Fraser Valley Phantom of the BC Hockey Female Midget AAA League, which will host the Okanagan Rockets in a best-of-three championship series at the Langley Sportsplex.

The winner will advance to the Esso Cup April 20-26 in Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Surrey residents on the Phantom include forwards Katelin Korman and Mackenzie Wong, and defenders Mandy Pollock and Taygen Rosner.  Cloverdale resident Morgan Symington is a goaltender.
