PHOTOS: High School Rodeo schedule kicks off with Quesnel event

Kenzie Lloyd walked away with custom made spurs for best Junior all-around cowgirl

A Quesnel cowgirl walked away with some hardware after the first High School Rodeo of the year at Alex Fraser Park on Aug. 25/26.

Kenzie Lloyd was named the top junior all-around cowgirl at a Quesnel high school rodeo event. Rylie Bondaroff from Arras was named the top high school cowgirl.

Mavrik Studley from Dawson Creek and Korbin Mills from Pink Mountain were named the top junior and high school cowboys respectively.

The top cowboys and cowgirls at the event walked away with a set of custom spurs made by Sandy Suter of the Welder’s Daughter.

Aside from Lloyd, a strong contingent of Quesnel athletes competed at the event.
