The second scheduled event in the British Columbia Team Roping Association (BCTRA) winter series, organized and hosted by the Quesnel Team Roping Club at Alex Fraser Park, saw 80 teams come out to compete in the #11 and #8 competitions.

The winter series runs from November to March, with competitions taking place the third weekend of each month leading up to the finals in April.

In the #11, the team made up of Header Ryan MacNaughton and Heeler Dustin Shields took first place with the best average time, as well the fastest overall time of 7.13.

Second place saw Heeler Dustin Shields’s name on the winner’s sheet again, along with Header Clint Cripps, while third place was held by Header Gary Nicholson and Heeler Jebb Goodwin.

In the #8, first- and second-place honours went to Header Leif Branson and Heeler Glen Brown. Brown completed the “hat trick,” as he teamed up with Header Albert Wheele to take third place.

The fastest overall time in the #8 went to Header Amy Hume and Heeler Ryan Hume with a time of 8.97 seconds.
