Grizzlies to retire Aaron Volpatti's jersey before final game of the season

An eight-game winning streak was snapped Saturday night as the Revelstoke Grizzlies fell 4-3 to the Princeton Posse at the Forum.

Revelstoke goals came from Ryan Pereverzoff, Jordan Rea and Jacob Bourchier with the assists going to Pereverzoff, Owen Hart, Joel Scrimbit, Jordan Robertson and David Lenzin.

The next Grizzlies home game is Friday night, when they will face the Osoyoos Coyotes.

On Saturday, Hockey Day in Revelstoke will see a series of events centred around the sport take place at the Forum.

At 7:30 p.m., before their final game of the regular season, the Grizzlies will be retiring Aaron Volpatti’s #19. Volpatti is a former NHL player, who played with the Vancouver Canucks (2010-2012) and the Washington Capitals (2012-15). Volpatti’s first Junior B team was the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
