Senior high school girls soccer teams from the North Island participated in a play day, Tuesday at Valley View Park in Courtenay.
Local teams included Highland and Isfeld. Port Hardy, Carihi and Brooks Secondary from Nanaimo also took part.
Powell River hosts the senior North Island Championship May 7 and 8. Islands are May 14 and 15 in Victoria. Provincials are May 30-June 2 in Kamloops.
Junior (Grade 8-10) North Islands are Friday in Dover Bay.
