Exeter Sporting Goods, which finished second in the regular league standings, fought back after getting behind early, but came up short, losing to the Shuswap Defenders 7-5.
The Defenders move on to meet league champions Red Rock Grill in the first game of the best-of-three championship series at Lumberman’s Park in 100 Mile tonight (July 4), starting at 7 p.m.
