Port Alberni Black Sheep beat Cowichan Piggies 36–0

The Black Sheep face Comox Kickers this Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. at the rugby pitch at the top of Argyle Street.

The Port Alberni Black Sheep notched another rugby win on a stormy Saturday with a 36–0 victory over Cowichan Piggies on the road.

“If you’re holding someone off the scoreboard you’re playing good defence,” Black Sheep head coach Jas Purewal said.

“We did a nice job of building some flow, which is difficult when it’s wet.”

The offence wasn’t too bad either. Scoring came from seven different players: three conversions from Jordan Kurucz and single tries from Anthony Selva, Ty Shannon, Brennan Tourangeau, Bob Brown, Dane Dentoom and Asaeli Rokotuiwakaya.

The Black Sheep have a 3–1 TC Cup record and 4–1 overall including exhibition games.
