The senior B Nanaimo Timbermen start their path to the Presidents Cup this weekend with their first exhibition game.
The Re/Max Timbermen will hit the floor Saturday, April 21, to face the Victoria Wolves in West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association pre-season play.
Shawn Swanson, T-men general manager, said he’s happy with what he’s seeing with team and looks forward to seeing how things look in game action.
“We’re looking good for this point in the season…” he said. “The work we’ve put in in the off-season is showing up right now.”
The senior B squad has lots of changes to the roster and coaching staff, but the GM noted that they’re all guys who have played together or crossed paths in the lacrosse community.
“It’s not like the team had to get to know each other,” Swanson said. “Everyone walked into the dressing room Day 1 and was like, ‘this is a brotherhood.'”
GAME ON … The T-men and Wolves face off Saturday at 6 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena. Admission is $10.
