Predator pro pockets $1,400

Brodie Carle of Predator Ridge shared first place in the Fairview Mountain Ladies Pro-Am

Brodie Carle of Predator Ridge and Dean Claggett of West Kelowna’s Two Eagles Golf Academy tied for first in the sixth annual Fairview Mountain Ladies Pro-Am Saturday in Oliver.

Carle and Claggett each pocketed $1,400 with 69s in a field of 27 professionals. There was no playoff hole due to the length of the tourney.

Vernon product Jesse Crowe, now a teaching pro at the Salmon Arm Golf & Country Club, shot a 70 and earned $1,000 for third place.

Keith Vandenbrink of Hillview and Myles Johnson of Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club both carded 71s to tie for fourth and take home $833. Johnson took $80 for a skin on the fourth hole.

Vandenbrink made an eagle-3 on the par-5 17th for an $80 skin. He went  39-32 with 10 putts in the round. Players competed in rain, wind and sun, on and off, all day.

The Callaway Interior Pro Tour schedule shuts down for July and resumes Thursday, Aug. 14 at Sunset Ranch in Kelowna. The two-man tournament goes Monday, Aug. 25 at Sagebrush, Merritt.
